John Breiner in "A Smiled Distress" at Mighty Tanaka

Fluid and whimsically dark--all on found paper with a beautiful color combination; a similar and as evocative a feeling you get when standing in front of a JMW Turner. One of my favorite bodies of work this month by far.

The show is up at Mighty Tanaka until June 3, 2011.
